As a confidential non profit organization fgcu students can get up to 10 pounds of food plus bread frozen meat dairy and produce when available. To 1 00 p m or the second thursday of each month 3 45 to 6 00 p m. The food we distribute is donated to the pantry through congregations and other jewish affiliated groups. Volunteer on tuesdays wednesdays or fridays 9 30 a m.

Volunteers play an essential role in food distribution shelving and bagging. The food is delivered to residences in tote bags which are loaded where the food pantry is located at the community service center at 121 toombs court and the van covers different sites at different points of each day the mobile food pantry operates. In addition we purchase kosher and non kosher food in bulk from the freestore foodbank and daily maintain an inventory of fresh produce eggs milk powder. The boy scouts of america have been a long time supporter and over the past several years their scouting for food drive has raised over 50 000 non perishable food items making them the largest single contributing organization to our pantry.
